Effective customer data is often difficult to build and maintain because people move, change telephone numbers or e-mail addresses and marry or divorce. Some use nicknames and first names interchangeably, while others make mistakes when completing information. Any of these can reduce the effectiveness and business value of customer and prospect data.

Acxiom contact-data cleansing tools standardize, enhance, fix and report on data quality to build the most reliable and accurate foundation of contact data available. As data is prepared for mailing, we incorporate U.S. Postal Service® (USPS®) standards to improve address deliverability, decrease mailing costs and enhance matching and recognition.

We then utilize a large, dynamic, multi-sourced name-and-address database to find missing or incorrect components and re-run the updated records through the NCOALink® process and through additional, private-source change-of-address processes to find and correct information related to movers not recognized in the earlier steps.
