Two outstanding industry experts will be among a host of excellent speakers and panelists at the 13th annual Automotive Integrated Marketing Symposium on Tuesday, May 13 at the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel. Edward J. Peper, Jr., Chevrolet General Manager, and George Peterson, President, AutoPacific, will keynote the all-day conference.

The program will highlight an outstanding array of people who will speak on a wide range of topics impacting automotive integrated marketing. Attendees will have an excellent opportunity to grow their automotive integrated marketing experience with a full day of outstanding speakers, panel discussions, networking, theme luncheon and other events.

Ed Peper was appointed Division General Manager of Chevrolet in March 2005. Previously, he was Regional General Manager for General Motors Northeast Region since February 2004. He also previously held the position of Vice President of Sales for Saab Cars, USA.

Peper joined General Motors in 1984 as a Cadillac sales representative. Throughout his 23-year career, he held many different field sales and marketing management positions with Cadillac Motor Car Division. Prior to taking the Saab position in February 2003, he held the positions of Chevrolet Regional Divisional Marketing Manager and Regional Sales Manager for the GM Northeast Region.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Peper earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hillsdale College in 1984 with a major in English. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago. Peper is a member of the Detroit Economic Club, and is a Safe Kids Worldwide corporate advisory board member.

George Peterson is founder and president of AutoPacific, Inc., an automotive-specialist market consulting, product consulting and forecasting firm headquartered in Tustin, California.

An automotive engineer and planner, Peterson established AutoPacific in 1986 to serve automotive industry clients nationally and internationally, providing high quality, innovative and creative automotive research, competitive analysis and forecasts. He is frequently quoted in leading automotive, business and consumer publications.

Prior to establishing AutoPacific, Peterson was Vice President of Automotive Programs for J. D. Power and Associates, an automotive marketing research firm. Previously, he was Corporate Product Development Manager responsible for truck product planning with Nissan Motor Corporation-USA. He began his automotive industry career in 1966 with Ford Motor Company.
