Former MySpace and MTV Networks Executive is Company’s First CRO
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., January 31, 2012 — Acxiom® Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM), a recognized leader in marketing services and technology, today announced Nada Stirratt as the company’s first chief revenue officer and executive vice president. Stirratt is former chief revenue officer for MySpace and former executive vice president of digital advertising at MTV Networks.
As CRO, Stirratt will be responsible for all field-facing areas, including sales, account management, delivery and consulting at all of Acxiom’s U.S. and international operations. Among her duties will be a sharp focus on innovation and client satisfaction as well as driving Acxiom’s strategy to profitably serve the largest markets in the world.
“Nada is considered one of the top digital sales leaders in the world, having held senior positions at some of the most iconic companies in the advertising and digital space,” said Acxiom CEO and President Scott Howe. “Acxiom is in transformation mode, and Nada’s deep knowledge in digital advertising, integrated marketing and delivery offers the perfect fit to advance our marketing and data services, client-centric culture and global footprint.”
“I believe we are at a critical time in the world of marketing and customer communication. The convergence of the media and data businesses is happening and Acxiom, with its impressive suite of
products, is uniquely positioned to lead these discussions,” said Stirratt. “I look forward to being a part of a truly world-class management team and helping Acxiom clients succeed in this exciting space.”
“Media inventory is too often referred to as a commodity. Nothing could be further from the truth. As more and more impressions become addressable, appending relevant data creates specificity and unlocks value to publishers and advertisers,” said Rob Norman, CEO GroupM North America. “The relationship between the buyers and sellers of media, and the collectors and analyzers of data is a critical axis in the future of our business. Nada's arrival at Acxiom signals the company's desire to build those bridges."
While serving as CRO at MySpace, Stirratt established MySpace Studio, an in-house creative think tank, to develop new products, original content and unique marketing programs for advertisers and consumers. At MTV Networks, she oversaw digital advertising sales, strategy and operations across all web properties.
Stirratt has also served as senior vice president, corporate development, at Advertising.com and helped grow that business into the largest ad network of its time. She began working in the digital space in 1997 as senior vice president, advertising, for Moviefone. When that company was sold to AOL, Stirratt served as vice president, business development, at AOL. Stirratt has a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Illinois.
